Camellia's and is it really still January

Let me start out by saying it's plum hot this morning..
Yesterday I got a little tan while working in the yard,
there is pollen everywhere and things are starting to bloom...

so much for winter and I guess these darn mosquitoes are here to stay

This morning I am sharing the rest of the Camellia's
from my trip out to the
Bamboo Farms and Coastal Gardens
 back before Christmas..

I think I need to make another trip to see what is in bloom now..

I know ya'll have heard me say it before...
if you are close you should go see the farm while the
Camellia Trail is pretty special there so much more to see year around

pretty awesome

one of my favorites

this may be the only icicles we see this year
which is way prettier than the real ones

have a wonderful week everyone

Want to see something pretty..
let's go visit Coral cottage on this Sunny Saturday
~ lots of pictures ahead ~

Coral cottage was built in 1958 and has just
been renovated and it is so yummy ...
... are ya ready ...

turquoise, lime, and coral what's not to love

to the right of the front door stepping into the living room

that striped pillow is the exact colors of a Tybee sunset..

across the living room... loved the hanging lamps
do you see the driftwood crab.. cute!

love the artwork and the pop of turquoise on the mirror

 that spread was awesome...
as was this shower curtain.. just loved the color and pattern

I'm thinking this would make the perfect spot
to curl up with a good book.
The spreads are really pretty they have a shell motif
and how about the little striped table between the beds

how about the color on that chest and the panel doors

from the living room heading towards the backyard
there is another living area.. You can see through the windows
on the right into the front living room

isn't this the perfect dining area..
it is so sunny, bright and cheery

crushing on the chairs and drapes

Ta da da ... another awesome chest..
and to the right through the door is the kitchen
now I have to say the kitchen was not very wide
and it was full of people so I did not get a lot of pictures

but I got enough to show you how awesome it is

how cute is the little bottle chanty..
I'm thinking I need one of these in my bedroom
a few shells, candles..
I bet I have the stuff around this house to make something similar..

Ahhhhhh, Ohhhhhh, Yeahhhhh...
I know it is fabulous isn't it ..
it is original to the home..
It has been completely refurbished
including that beautiful new paint ..

back yard

and my most favorite outside shower ever... Ahhhhh...
Now that's what I call " Tybee Chic "

More " Tybee Chic " ... coming next week
  so come on back .

What to do while it's cold outside

Good morning
hope everyone is feeling fantastic on this cold Wednesday
and some sunshine is headed your way.

I have been trying to finish up some projects
but I keep getting side tracked.
I started this piece over a year ago,
framed it and hung it even though it wasn't finished.
Well it's back on the easel and I'm liking how it's coming along

I also started messing around with
3 prints that I love in my kitchen.
I have painted the frames several times to freshen them up
but once I hung my Farmers Market sign they just didn't work anymore..
It looks to busy..

So I decided to wrap the prints in a red ticking wallpaper
that I picked up at a thrift store,
thinking I could keep the green frames which looked fine
apart but time they went together I knew the frames
were in for at least one more paint job
and I'm thinking a little something above the sign is needed also..

So now they are a barn red and I'm liking it ..
I can honestly say at this point I really have no set plan
as to what I'm going to do with them...
I have a few ideas so maybe by the weekend
I'll have something more to share.
So what are you up to, are you being crafty
while it's cold or are you thumbing through
seed catalog's planning this years garden...

If you didn't see the post about my
Farmers Market sign you can see it here..
it's 2 sided the other side is Christmas oh and this sign is over 7'
hugs everyone go have a fabulous, Cherry

Jane Coslick Cottage Tour ~ Cottage 6

Welcome to Nora's Cottage

Right off I knew I was going to like Nora's Cottage
the yellow screen door stole my heart

the front porch was the perfect hangout place..
I loved the lattice to give it a little more privacy

A little outdoor dining or a great place to play games.
The signs were hanging in different places through out the house

The floors and pops of color made this cottage perfect
look at how cute that cabinet is...  love the chicken wire
The cottage owner told us the front glass was missing
so Miss Jane replaced it with the wire..
almost makes me want to go break some glass..

love, love, love the yellow door

looking from the living area into the dining and kitchen area

the fabric on these chairs has all of the colors I have been trying to
incorporate into our house now I'm on the hunt..
OH Miss Jane where did you find that fabric ??

I'm digging the floors and the pantry is adorable... again chicken wire
and Miss Jane's shell door knobs which you can purchase
 here at her online shop

the kitchen was bright and cheerful
the perfect place to start off a day at the beach

More " Tybee Chic " ... coming soon...
I'll share the rest of Nora's cottage tomorrow so come on back by.
