 Yesterday mom and I rode up to Rahn's Greenhouses 
to pick up some snap dragons, pansy's and other fall/ winter favorites

When I walked into the big house I was in awe..
It was filled with so many beautiful
 and different varieties I knew I was not leaving without them.

 I love Caladiums and every year
 I say I am going to do some and every year I don't

 Candyland

Guess what I will be planting in the spring

 I bought some of each that I will get to enjoy

 for a few more months

and, I am ahead of the game for next year.

Mornings on Tybee island are magical

afternoons on Tybee island are spectacular

evenings on Tybee island are the perfect way to end a day
 or at least wind down a bit until the music starts.

and getting to spending them all
with my beautiful girlfriends
from Ohio is a treasure
 I hold close to my heart always and forever.

If you need a little cure for what is ailing ya
 I suggest grabbing your girlfriends head to the beach
lay in the sunshine, drink to much, dance and sing like fools
then get up the next day and do it all again...

Missing you girls already...

In Honor of the beautiful Tall ship ~ The HMS Bounty

The Bounty as some of you may remember is one of the beautiful Tall Ships that sailed into Savannah back in May, 

as she has done many times before. 

It was my first time getting to tour her and the others.

It was magical watching as she and the others sailed out of Savannah on that misty, foggy morning

the sight was breathtaking and one I am so glad to have gotten to be apart of .

This morning Hurricane Sandy took this magnificent ship.. 

The crew had to abandon her. Reports say she went down very shortly after the crew had been rescued.

She will Sail on forever in the hearts of many....

UPDATED NEWS!!!!!!!! We received a distress call for Bounty at 1830 Sunday evening October 28th that the Ship lost power and the pumps were unable to keep up with the dewatering. At that time we immediately contacted the USCG for assistance. A C130 was sent to there position approximately 90 miles SE of Cape Hatteras. At 0430 Sunday Morning the Captain ordered all hands to abandon ship. There are 17 Crew on board and at this moment all crew are accounted for and are in Life rafts. The first USCG helicopter has reached the ship and is in the process of rescuing them. Bounty is currently still floating upright and intact. We will keep everyone informed as info becomes available. 

Very sad .. thank the lord all are safe 

Please take a moment today to say a prayer for all those in the path of Sandy and to those of you that are please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and yours...

Our next house was the newest home on the tour.
Look at that big front porch and the wrap around on the right.
This home was beautiful on the inside and out.
Again wish I could have taken inside pictures to share.

The back porch was just as big as the front
I'm loving this old table it is awesome it had two drawers in it.
don't you just love that they lifted it with old brick

didn't realize I had 3 pictures of the table ..lol
guess I really do love it... 

The entire back porch was screen and then on each end was open porches

The door to the left goes into the master suite
Wouldn't you love to crawl right up into this
daybed/ over sized chair and hangout...

This little sitting area was upstairs off of the bedroom area from here you can see all the beauty that surrounds
Isle of Hope.

lots of marshland, water, docks, dock houses and more spectacular homes

big back yard

a great spot to hang out and have family gatherings

firepit and treehouse

looks like a perfect place to spend a fall evening

and now we leave this beautiful home
to head onto the next one

Today we are picking up at the same house as yesterday..

don't you just love, love, love all these rusty doodah's ...
We are on the right side of the house on the porch.

This screened in porch is right off the kitchen, dining area ..
pillows, pillows, pillows all of a sudden I have a thing for
big fluffy pillows.
Coffee anyone...

I really like all the rusty doodah's, driftwood
and cloches together

outside of the screened in porch is a beautiful water feature

and another fabulous dining spot.. love the legs so massive.

and seating area

The table was set very natural and rustic....
With salad greens plantings as center pieces

come on around the house

the front yard 

now we are on the the fun side of the house. A playhouse, a fire pit, a table full of goodies

s'mores anyone ~ adorable

see the fire wood being stored in the old bath tub
