it's Flaunt your flowers Friday

It has been a wet and wild week around here

 lots of heavy down pours

 and hail so the flowers are looking a little worn

 but it is so worth it cause the rain

 has everything jumping which means more pretty flowers..

I'm loving the color of this one and hoping
 that all my little rooted pieces are going to take over this summer.

the Chase trees are in full bloom

Daylilies

lavender & thyme for the first time I wintered over one small piece lavender

I love the old right along with the newer varieties of lillies

one of the chase trees that I rooted is now full grown

mators got to have mators

the autumn ferns have been outstanding this spring

chives, blueberries and baby birds are everywhere

I'm loving the Rhythm and blues petunia's the color is so deep.. I need to incorporate so more yellows for some summer color.

Well hello July it's Flaunt your flowers Friday

Over at Miss Glenda's Tootsie Time Blog 

which means it time to show off what cha got blooming ... so here we go !

My new favorite Ruellia elegans this plant has not stopped blooming or growing

there is still a few daylilies blooming

Ruellia elegans again ...

Hidalgo Sage ? I think I was told when I bought this plant that it was Hildalgo Sage

 but from the little bit of info I can find I don't think so.

The leaves are big and really pretty with some hot pink in the veining and stems. 

The flower is not much to look at but fun to watch open.

The hibiscus are still showing off.

all that's left of the daylilies in the back beds.. boohoo I hate to see them finish up for the season.

Ruellia elegans again and again and again ..love it !

Split Second Morning Glory

The Miss April Cockscomb that's not really the name of it but it is what I named the pink one because my girlfriend April and I were at a yard sale years ago and the home had the most beautiful Cockscombs I had ever seen. They get huge in height and the flower gets as wide as my hand .. I of course wanted some but wouldn't ask not Miss April she marched right up to the gentleman and started talking before I knew she had a bag full so in honor of my very special fearless girlfriend this will always be the Miss April.. as for the white ones I have no idea where they came from. I did not plant them nor have I ever even seen white ones but I can tell ya I'm loving them and will be saving every seed.. I will share more pictures of these they still have a lot of growing yet to do..

Swamp Hibiscus these things are about 7 ft tall I have got to move them before next spring .

Daylilies are blooming for Cottage Flora Thursday

it has been extremely hot around here and very dry
 it is a wonder that anything is willing to show off for us today.

looking back at pictures from this time last year I don't have near the blooms

and there is a few that haven't bloomed at all

hummmm but the ones that are.... Sure are pretty.

Amazing Daylilies ~ Outdoor Wednesday & June Bloom day

OK amazing is over exaggerating it a bit .. lol

but to me they are amazing not just because they are beautiful but because I have paid them nor anything else any attention for well over a month ..

I have been so busy that I truly have not done anything in the yard except a quick watering of things in pots and then right back inside..

This morning I went out early with a cup of coffee sat and just enjoyed the quite beauty around me..

a lot of things look pretty pitiful but not the daylillies

they welcomed me back without a single ( where the heck have you been or a if you don't love us enough to stop by every now and then we are out of here )

not a single complaint ...

just beautiful smiling faces

and a simple good morning ..
