The Tall Ships stopped by Savannah

The Tall Ship Challenge brought some
fabulous boats to Savannah last weekend.
 My girlfriend Beth and I
did the tour of the boats and it was a lot of fun.
They gave us a very nice passport style booklet
and as you boarded each vessel your passport was stamped.
Then Monday morning we headed out to
Old Fort Jackson to watch them leave
and I have to say it was an amazing sight to see
The Bounty ~ my favorite picture I took of the ships

The Lynx  ~ firing their cannons at all of us at the fort

what a beauty ~  This flag is the one you see in the above picture on the back of the boat

Dewaruci

juggling pirate, magical pirate and singing pirates

I loved the sleekness of these two sister boats from
Brest, France
The Etoile and The La Belle Poule

The Peacemaker and our local riverboat

Beth and I aboard the Lynx..
doesn't Beth look so cute in her white sunglasses ..lol
She threw them in her grands toy box
 after she saw this picture..lol
Hey I thought they looked cute..
This was so much fun if you ever have the chance to see any of these ships you should go
I only took like a gazillion pictures so here's a few more..

Happy Outdoor Wednesday
 ya'll come join us at
 Miss Susan's A Southern Daydreamers

  2. Cherry, These tall ships are awesome! There were some in Duluth Harbor in Lake Superior a couple of years ago. I didn't get to see them. But they are supposed to be coming back in 2013 so I hope I get to see them then.

  3. Beautiful!! I love the tall ships. One was kept at the Erie docks when I was growing up. That was before it was all restored I think.

  9. Cherry, Your pictures are awesome. I went with friends for lunch the Thursday they came in. We didn't get pics in full sail as they were dropping sail and docking. I would have loved to see them as they left. Thanks for the awesome pics.
