Camellia's and Cookies

Good morning is everyone ready for Christmas.. My family will celebrate Sunday at momma's. I can't wait to see everyone and watch the little ones, their excitement is contagious. 
This time of year can be such a busy, stressful and even a sad time for some of us, so I decided it was time for a field trip to see some pretty camellia's.  I picked up momma and headed out to the Coastal gardens & bamboo farms 

to see what was blooming on the Judge Arthur Solomon Camellia Trail. The trail has grown a lot since last February so much so that momma could not walk the entire trail. 
As far as we could see there was beautiful camellia's blooming. If you are local or are coming to Savannah soon you must go .. If you have been before you must go back the entire farm has had major work and new additions just since I was there in early summer..

Today's cottage is Palm Cottage and sorry but the "68" is not included in the rental fee... but it sure is pretty.

There is another one to the right of the bedroom door 

that you can see in the above picture.

 I love that they left them when adding onto this cottage.

The built in bench was a great idea. This cottage has been featured in Coastal Living.

and of course you have to have an
outdoor shower at the beach..

Jane Coslick Christmas Cottage Tour ~ Cottage 1

Want to see what " Tybee Chic " looks like....

For years renowned interior designer Jane Coslick has been saving, bring back to life historic Tybee cottages. She and her crew have made tacky, funky, junk into beachy fun... or as the tour guide said....adorable," Tybee Chic " 

The first cottage we are visiting is Tybee Tides . It is a rental and available through Mermaid Cottages

The front porch was big, with views of  the marsh. This side of the island has the most amazing sunsets, so I'm betting the front porch is everyone's favorite spot to be.

just inside is an open living, dining, kitchen area which would be perfect for hanging out with family and friends.. There was a cute sign in the cottage that said "Friends, of friends can't invite friends"..lol love it..

The walls and ceilings are all painted white which made everything look so clean and fresh. The curtain rods are bamboo, the sheers have palm trees on them and the kitchen cabinet knobs are star fish.

and saving the best for last... The Master ~ is that headboard not the coolest thing ever !!!
