Cherokee rose

Easter came so early this year that I was really worried it would be cold but it turned out to be a beautiful day. I started the morning with coffee on the back porch and was blessed
with a visitor our first hummer. I hung the feeder yesterday afternoon and was so happy to see our little friends are back. I did a 2 mile run/ walk this morning and everything is bursting with color
I felt so alive and free it was my best run yet .
We then went up to the country and had a wonderful dinner with all of the family and I thought the day couldn't get any better but it did, when I got home I went for a walk around the back yard and was so excited to find my Cherokee rose in bloom and loaded with buds.
I have tried for over 10 years to get a piece of this rose to live it is from mom & daddy's garden it runs up the entire side of a 2 story building at their place and is the most beautiful sight to see every spring .
Daddy brought me another piece last year and I stuck it out on a fence line and have paid no attention to it since I thought it would die like the others so why worry with it ...
So once again I must have just loved the others to death ..

Your place is lovely; I am so envious of the bountiful and beautiful blossoms you have already...it's snowing here! At least the crocus have come up, and the daffodils have buds...
